June 19-22, a French volunteer of Urgence Humanitaire, accompanied by coordinator of NGO Intermarium Support Group Olena Semenyaka, delivered much needed aid from French clinics to the Ukrainian frontline and hospitals.
First, he visited the medical evacuation team of SSO (SOF – Special Operations Forces) Azov that was working on the battlefields of Zaporizhzhia region. Professional surgeons and anaesthesiologists, they took what was required for their job and helped to sort out medicines for the frontline and for the hospitals.
After that, French volunteer aka Le Frog, who has already delivered stuff to Bakhmut and Lysychansk, was taken to the closest frontline to get acquainted with the paramedics and soldiers of SSO Azov. They invited him to their bunker, shared the stories of ongoing successful counteroffensive operations (in the photo – a medic of the unit and friend Betsyk who shot down two Russian helicopters) and showed destruction brought to once inhabited village nearby by the Russian war criminals.
During the shocking tour across the positions, the guests, to their pleasant surprise, were treated with the Ukrainian field borscht by the local territorial defense.
Next, our French volunteer brought a full van of medicaments to the emergency department of Zaporizhzhia Regional Clinical Hospital, which was much appreciated by the stuff.
At that time, friend Liutyi, a fighter of SSO Azov, was recovering after a concussion as a result of his recent combat mission and was glad to receive the French support.
Finally, functional prostheses from French clinics have been delivered to two Kyiv centers that literally help our fighters get back on their feet: “Ortotekh” and “Without Limitations.” The Patronage Service of Azov, which takes care of the rehabilitation of the soldiers of Azov and other units, coordinated the visit and making plans for the continuation of cooperation between French and Ukrainian clinics.
