Today, September 30, the inter-factional association “Intermarium” was established in Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to promote the project of the Baltic-Black Sea Union in Ukrainian politics.
One of the goals of the association is to include Ukraine in existing international initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation and integration of Ukraine into economic and defense initiatives of the region.
Sviatoslav Yurash, MP of the Servant of the People party, announced this on his Facebook page.

It is gratifying that despite the existence of the Intermarium Support Group, formed in 2016 by the Leader of National Corps and the founder of the Azov Regiment Andriy Biletsky, the project is finally of interest to the Ukrainian Parliament.

Given that the initiative was supported by about 230 deputies, we believe that Ukraine, sooner or later, will become one of the influential players in regional politics.
As a state that has been deterring Russian aggression and fighting terrorism for 7 years, Ukraine has got something to offer its international partners.
It is important that the unification does not remain another paper initiative, but becomes a real direction of Ukrainian politics.
